Abetone – Rd#3 Gravitalia: how to race?

The next week end 21st – 22nd of June, an international UCI Class 2 race will be held in Abetone (www.abetone.com), a ski resort located about 80 km northwest of Florence.

The venue is popular among the Italian downhill scene since it has already hosted the Italian Championships as well as several Italian Cups and Top Class races.

Here below all the information needed to race round #3 Circuito Nazionale Gravitalia – Abetone DH.

MEETING POINT

The meeting point will be at UFFICIO GARA Via Abetone 489, Abetone (PT)

On SATURDAY THE 21ST OF JUNE, AT 08:00

REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee, is € 50 for men and for women.

THE START

The start will take place at 13:00 on SUNDAY THE 22ND OF JUNE from MONTE GOMITO

HOW TO GET THERE

By car: from:

from the North: A1 motorway, exit Sasso Marconi, take SS64BIS following directions for Abetone

from the South: from A1 motorway, follow directions for Firenze, then take A11 motorway and take the exit Pistoia, then take the junction for Abetone/Modena. Continue on SS66, following directions for Abetone.

By train: closest railway station is Pistoia

By air: closest airport is Firenze – Amerigo Vespucci

ORGANISATION

- The Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica GRAVITALIA (Club no. 02R3403) with headquarter Milano (Italy) – Telephone no. +39 348 5318485 – email info@gravitalia.it,  is organising an international class 2 event ( DH) called “3° PROVA CIRCUITO NAZIONALE GRAVITALIA – ABETONE DH” on the 21ST – 22ND of June, 2014.

The event is open to Junior M/F, U/23M/F, Elite M/F, Master M/F for members of clubs belonging to the F.C.I. and U.C.I.

EVENT REGISTRATION

- Italian Teams F.C.I/U.C.I. members that are out to participate to the race must register their athletes using the federal computer system at the URL http://ksport.fattorek.it/fci/ (race can be easily found by clicking on the link “gare” and typing the number “Id gara” in the appropriate field). Not registering will not allow participating to the race.

- Athletes / Teams with a valid licence of a National Federation recognised by U.C.I. must register sending an e-mail to info@gravitalia.it, including name and licence number (both National Federation and U.C.I.). In case of an Athlete with U.C.I. points, they must be specified in the e-mail.

Preliminary registration deadline: Thursday the 19th of June, 2014 at 24:00

  • Jury office, race/organization office, staff office, press room: Ufficio Gara Via Brennero 489 Abetone.
  • Antidoping seat: Palazzina della Funivia.
  • Showers and bike wash: near the finish line
  • First Aid and nearest Hospital:

- on site: n°2 ambulances and doctor at the finish line, medical ATV medico and doctor with pick-up;

- N° 15 Marshals roughly every 120 mt.;

- nearest Hospital: San Marcello Pistoiese 20,00 km;

  • Internet connection available in the race office.

PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS

- The Event Registration Secretary and the Procedures to check licences will be available from 08:00 to 11:00 on Saturday the 21st at the Race Office.

TECHNICAL MEETING

- The technical meeting with the Event Supervisor, Jury’s College,  team managers and the S.T.F.  F.C.I. representative;  will be held on Saturday the 21st at the Ristorante Funivia at the following times:

- 1st meeting at 12:00

- 2nd meeting at 18:00

- Passes for the designated mechanical support and supply areas will be issued at the meeting (considering n.1 pass each team). All clubs are required to attend the technical meeting in case there are any changes to the course and event schedule.

DEPARTURE OPERATIONS

- Departure operations will take place in Monte Gomito at:

- Saturday the 21st of June: 14:30 seeding run

- Sunday the 22nd of June: 13:00 final

- The starting list will be carried out according to U.C.I. rankings and then F.C.I. rankings for both professional and amateur categories  (Master M/F).

MEDICAL EXAMINATION

- The medical examination has to be conducted in compliance with F.C.I. /U.C.I. and Ministry of Health regulations and will take place in the Medical Room of the Palazzina della Funivia.

TIMING

-Timing: the timing service will be carried out by FCRI Pistoia and FCRI Torino (www.cronotorino.it)

PRIZES

- Trophies will be awarded in accordance with the F.C.I. /U.C.I. for the first 8 men in the overall rankings and first 4 women in the overall rankings.

RESULTS

- Results will be communicated to the U.C.I. and F.C.I. as per national and international rules.

MEDICAL SERVICES

- Medical Services will be provided by at least n. 1 ambulance with 2 auxiliary medical personnel and a Race Doctor.

TEMPORARY AND FINAL REGULATIONS

- For any points non explicitly taken into consideration, the Jury’s College will apply the F.C.I. /U.C.I. off road regulations and Italian law, where appropriate.
